Overall character- The wine is an excavator, an extractor of the earth’s rich mineral wealth, the miner in a mother lode. No nonsense, firm and structured, the power quarries and jack hammers ahead of the medium weight. The dark fruit, spice and mineral flavors sift and pan through the rigidity of the edgy acids and tannins. The result is a supportive and polished overall profile and a long finish which tunnels far ahead into the dark corners of the wines character.
