A wine made for 89 year old Tocai Friulano (Sauvignon Vert) from two acre in the Pagani Vineyard in the Valley floor in Kenwood.
verall- Not a wine for every purpose or palette but stylish, neutral, modern, slightly aromatic with a light body and no apparent malolactic conversion (butter flavors), Low alcohol, mild acid, classy and almost sake like when cold. Drink this wine near room temp. and let it breathe to get the most flavors out of it. When served too cold it will simply be neutral and indistinguishable. It is good as any nutural Italian whites from Gavi di Gavi, Orvieto or Verdicchio being made in Italy today. Hats off to the winemaker for leaving some sediment in the wine and not over filtering and fining this wine, which is really tough on a wine that hasn’t gone through malo. -Robert O’Maoilriain CSW, Sept 2009
